This Content Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into by and between the International Institute of E-Commerce (IIE-COM), hereinafter referred to as “IIE-COM”, “we”, “our”, or “us”, and any individual, organization, contributor, or third party (“Contributor”, “User”, “You”, or “Your”) who submits, posts, or otherwise provides any form of content on or to the IIE-COM website (https://www.iie-com.org) or associated platforms.
By contributing or accessing content on our platform, you agree to comply with the terms and conditions set forth herein.
Content: Any form of text, data, images, graphics, videos, documents, audio files, course materials, blogs, articles, reviews, user comments, or any digital media shared on the IIE-COM website.
Contributor: Any individual, organization, employee, faculty, or third party that creates or submits content to the IIE-COM website.
User-Generated Content (UGC): Content submitted by users of the platform, such as discussion forum posts, testimonials, or public comments.
Intellectual Property: All intellectual property rights including copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, and other proprietary rights.
This Agreement outlines the terms of ownership, use, modification, publication, and removal of content related to the IIE-COM website. It aims to ensure legal compliance, intellectual property protection, and a collaborative framework between IIE-COM and its content contributors.
This Agreement applies to all content:
Created or commissioned by IIE-COM staff, partners, faculty, or external collaborators.
Uploaded, submitted, or otherwise made available by users or contributors to any section of the IIE-COM website, including but not limited to course material, blog posts, multimedia, or downloadable content.
Used in digital communications, marketing materials, and social media linked to IIE-COM.
All original content created by IIE-COM remains the sole property of IIE-COM unless otherwise specified through a signed third-party license agreement. For content submitted by third parties, ownership may remain with the contributor, provided that a perpetual, non-exclusive license is granted to IIE-COM.
Contributors acknowledge that by submitting content, they do not transfer full ownership to IIE-COM but grant the rights necessary for publication, reproduction, adaptation, and distribution.
Contributors must ensure that:
All content is original or appropriately attributed.
The content does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights.
No part of the content is false, misleading, or defamatory.
Content complies with applicable laws and academic or professional standards.
Contributors are responsible for correcting any errors or inaccuracies identified in their content.
All content submitted must adhere to the following guidelines:
Use of respectful and inclusive language.
Proper citation of third-party content.
No promotional or advertising material unless authorized.
No malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
Relevance to e-commerce, digital education, or related subject areas.
IIE-COM reserves the right to edit or reject content that does not meet these standards.
Content is subject to review by the IIE-COM editorial or academic team before publication. IIE-COM may:
Accept content as-is.
Request revisions or clarifications.
Reject submissions without providing detailed justification.
Schedule publication based on editorial calendars or institutional priorities.
All copyrights and intellectual property rights associated with IIE-COM-produced content are owned by IIE-COM. For externally submitted content, contributors retain copyright ownership but grant IIE-COM a:
Royalty-free
Worldwide
Non-exclusive
Perpetual
Irrevocable license
…to publish, use, translate, modify, reproduce, and distribute the content for academic, marketing, commercial, or non-commercial purposes.
By submitting content to IIE-COM, you grant IIE-COM and its affiliates the right to:
Display the content on the website.
Adapt it into other formats, including printed materials, ebooks, and videos.
Share content via social media platforms and newsletters.
Include content in courses, promotional materials, or research publications.
The following types of content are strictly prohibited:
Plagiarized material.
Content that promotes discrimination, hate speech, or violence.
Obscene or sexually explicit content.
False or misleading claims.
Personal attacks or harassment.
Unauthorized use of copyrighted or trademarked materials.
Violation may lead to content removal, account suspension, or legal action.
UGC is any content submitted by users in forums, comments, reviews, or public discussion spaces. Users agree that:
UGC is public and non-confidential.
IIE-COM has the right to moderate, edit, or remove UGC.
Users remain solely responsible for their posts and comments.
All personal information collected or included in content is subject to the IIE-COM Privacy Policy. Contributors must:
Not disclose confidential data without prior consent.
Anonymize personal data in research or case studies.
Comply with data protection laws such as GDPR or other applicable legislation.
IIE-COM respects the intellectual property rights of others and will respond to notices of alleged infringement in compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
To file a claim, the complainant must provide:
Identification of the copyrighted work.
Location of the infringing material.
A good-faith statement.
Contact details.
A statement under penalty of perjury.
IIE-COM provides no guarantees that content will always be accurate, complete, or available. While we strive to ensure quality, content is provided “as is”.
IIE-COM disclaims all liability for:
Errors or omissions in content.
User reliance on content.
Damage or loss resulting from website use.
IIE-COM reserves the right to:
Modify content for grammar, clarity, or format.
Update outdated content.
Remove content due to legal, reputational, or academic concerns.
Contributors will be notified of major edits where appropriate.
This Agreement is effective upon content submission and remains in effect unless terminated in writing.
IIE-COM may terminate the agreement:
If terms are violated.
If content is deemed harmful or irrelevant.
Upon closure of the platform or related service.
Termination does not affect licenses already granted or obligations already performed.
Contributors agree to indemnify and hold harmless IIE-COM, its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, losses, damages, or legal fees arising from:
Violation of this Agreement.
Infringement of intellectual property rights.
Misrepresentation or misuse of content.
This Agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which IIE-COM is registered.
Any legal proceedings shall be held in the appropriate courts located within the same jurisdiction.
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to:
First attempt informal negotiation and resolution.
Proceed to mediation if unresolved.
Resort to arbitration only as a last option, unless required by law.
All legal costs are to be borne by the party found at fault unless agreed otherwise.
Severability: If any clause in this Agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain valid.
No Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision shall not be considered a waiver.
Entire Agreement: This document constitutes the full agreement between IIE-COM and the contributor regarding content.
Updates: IIE-COM reserves the right to modify this Agreement. Continued use of the platform indicates acceptance of any changes.
By submitting content to IIE-COM or using the website to contribute in any form, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Content Agreement.
